Microsoft’s ‘Your Phone’ app does not work well with iPhones or other iOS-based devices at this time. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to link your Android phones to Windows 11 and access your phone from Windows 11 devices. This will improve your productivity and makes it simple to multitask and get things done. Linking your phone and PC together helps you keep track of what’s happening on your smartphone without ever touching your phone. Thankfully, most of the features like sending and receiving text messages, making calls, accessing contacts, and viewing your recent phone photos are supported by all recent Android phones. You can find the list of all supported Android devices on the Microsoft website. Microsoft could expand full support for linking Windows to other Android devices in the future. However, some of the app’s functionalities are limited exclusively to Surface Duo or Samsung Galaxy smartphones. It also allows you to mirror your phone screen and access the phone’s home screen and apps from your PC. The ‘Your Phone’ app lets you seamlessly connect your Windows 11 PC to your Android device, and syncs your phone’s pictures, videos, messages, calls, notifications, and even compatible apps.

Unfortunately, the Apps feature only works with select Samsung phones (recent flagships and the A-series) plus the Microsoft Surface Duo. Note that for now you can run only one app at a time, but Microsoft is working on a way to run multiple apps simultaneously (as seen in the video above). You can even pin it to the Windows task bar easy access. Click one and it will pop up as if it’s a native app on your PC. Once installed, you’ll see an Apps tab on the left and a full list of apps from your phone to the right. The updated Your Phone app is rolling out now (note that it may take up to 48 hours to reach you). This feature allows you to run Android apps in individual windows on your Windows 10 PC (previously you had to rely on screen mirroring). The Apps feature of Microsoft’s Your Phone app is graduating from the Insider program – soon it will be available to everyone who owns a supported phone.
